the wharf gallery

This beautiful 17C barn on the side of the Langollen Canal near Whitchurch, once a cheese warehouse, is now a unique gallery showing a permanent exhibition of the Batik paintings and handmade lampshades of Buffy Robinson.

The Wharf Gallery, adjacent to her canal side cottage home, is often described as a ‘hidden gem’. Maybe that’s something to do with the fact that Buffy only opens, as she says “on sunny days when the mood takes me” or by appointment. Many locals have never even seen inside!

Access: Please be aware that there is a flight of 12 steps up to the gallery with handrails on both sides.
Also for sale in the Wharf Gallery and its small canal-side shop is a large collection of her greetings cards and prints.

If you would like to visit the Wharf Gallery, email Buffy to fix a time when she will be happy to show you around. There is a great pub nearby and lovely canal side walks. Why not bring friends and make a day of it?
