Bolton Abbey is a beautiful ruin set among trees in North Yorkshire, not far from my mum’s home. It is run by the National Trust who sold greetings cards and prints from this original, in their shop.
The ruins are portrayed by the cracking of the wax, which give the stones the sense of age. I was particularly pleased with the sky with its marbled crackle texture, which has various colours let into the cracks to give the peaceful Abbey a lively backdrop.
